So here's the thing about celebrant weddings in France...
One of the things I love about being a celebrant for weddings in France is the simply stunning places I get to see - from chateaux to shabby chic shacks, from barns to beaches.
For couples and their families it's not just that the locations are stunning, it's that they can book their chosen place for a week or a long weekend and they, and their guests not only holiday but get to see each other for longer than an afternoon too.
Given the fact that we are so scattered about the globe these days, couples, increasingly, feel that they want to relax and enjoy friends and family who have, maybe, travelled a long way to share the celebration.
And usually the cost is not off-putting - a client commented this week that they could have the stunning 13th century village, pictured above, for the weekend for the same cost as a barn wedding in the UK - and that was even before they'd factored in the cost and quality of the wine - and food. With an English-speaking celebrant and wedding planner, the organisation of a 'destination wedding' is not complicated either.
That's not the only thing I love about being a wedding celebrant in France - but that's a new blog...
